Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2021 Christies in London held the auction Old Master and British Drawings and Watercolours including a Fine Collection of Old Master Prints, which included the work A group of elegantly coiffured ladies, Cupid, a dog and an old man in the foreground by Pierre-Alexandre Wille. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 2,125.00 (€ 2,492.00) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Pierre-Alexandre Wille have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work "La Mère Indulgente" Et "Les Conseils Maternels" in March 2016 with an auction result of EUR 22,750.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2021 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Master and British Drawings and Watercolours including a Fine Collection of Old Master Prints durch, in der auch die Arbeit A group of elegantly coiffured ladies, Cupid, a dog and an old man in the foreground von Pierre-Alexandre Wille zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 2.125,00 (€ 2.492,00) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Pierre-Alexandre Wille auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit "La Mère Indulgente" Et "Les Conseils Maternels" im März 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 22.750,00.
