Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Corallo corallo by Piero Pizzi Cannella was auctioned at Sothebys in Milan in December 2021, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 10,000.00 – 12,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 7,560.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Piero Pizzi Cannella - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Trittico, Le Perle, which sold at auction in May 2011 for EUR 27,150.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Corallo corallo von Piero Pizzi Cannella im Dezember 2021 bei Sothebys in Mailand versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 10.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 7.560,00 den Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Piero Pizzi Cannella mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Trittico, Le Perle beobachtet, die im Mai 2011 für EUR 27.150,00 versteigert wurde.
