Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2019 Sothebys in Milan held the auction Arte Contemporanea, which included the work Senza Titolo, Isalt, Lead, Fiberglass And Burned Wood On Board. by Pier Paolo Calzolari. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 80,000.00 – 120,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 87,500.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Pier Paolo Calzolari have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 725,000.00 (€ 659,450.61).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2019 führte Sothebys in Mailand die Auktion Arte Contemporanea durch, in der auch die Arbeit Senza Titolo, Isalt, Lead, Fiberglass And Burned Wood On Board. von Pier Paolo Calzolari zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 87.500,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Pier Paolo Calzolari auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 725.000,00 (€ 659.450,61).
