Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Senza Titolo by Pia Pizzo was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2019, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of HKD 5,000.00 – 10,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for HKD 2,500.00 (€ 284.57). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pia Pizzo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Prima Dell’Inizio in April 2018 with an auction result of HKD 56,250.00 (€ 5,935.27).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Senza Titolo von Pia Pizzo im April 2019 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 5.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für HKD 2.500,00 (€ 284,57) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Pia Pizzo erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Prima Dell’Inizio im April 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 56.250,00 (€ 5.935,27).
