Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2005 Christies in London held the auction Sporting Art and Dogs, which included the work An Irish Wolfhound by Phillip Sanders. The price achieved of GBP 540.00 (€ 793.33) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 400.00 – 600.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Phillip Sanders - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Heavy horse class, Ludlow, Shropshire, which sold at auction in November 2003 for GBP 1,175.00 (€ 1,686.73).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2005 führte Christies in London die Auktion Sporting Art and Dogs durch, in der auch die Arbeit An Irish Wolfhound von Phillip Sanders zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 540,00 (€ 793,33) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 400,00 – 600,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Phillip Sanders mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Heavy horse class, Ludlow, Shropshire beobachtet, die im November 2003 für GBP 1.175,00 (€ 1.686,73) versteigert wurde.
