Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Voyage For Brendan 5 by Phillip Martin was sold in the THE W.R. BURGE COLLECTION auction at Christies in Sydney in March 2006. Here, the upper estimate of AUD 3,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for AUD 3,824.00 (€ 2,257.10). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Phillip Martin - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A New World In A New Mind (Triptych), which sold at auction in March 2006 for AUD 8,365.00 (€ 4,937.41).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Voyage For Brendan 5 von Phillip Martin wurde im März 2006 in der Auktion THE W.R. BURGE COLLECTION bei Christies in Sydney versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von AUD 3.500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für AUD 3.824,00 (€ 2.257,10) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Phillip Martin mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A New World In A New Mind (Triptych) beobachtet, die im März 2006 für AUD 8.365,00 (€ 4.937,41) versteigert wurde.
