Auction result misses estimated price range
In June 2020 a collector was able to acquire the work The Orange Seller by Philippe Pavy for GBP 6,250.00 (€ 6,883.29). This price was achieved in the auction Important Works from the Najd Collection, Part II at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Philippe Pavy have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work French In A Courtyard, Tangier in October 2008 with an auction result of USD 56,250.00 (€ 44,354.20).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
