Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Philippe Hiquily achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Paris in June last year. In the Art Contemporain Day Auction auction, the work Ornuteros sold for EUR 44,100.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 20,000.00. Admittedly, works by Philippe Hiquily have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work La Sevillane (Femme Lune) - 2006 in July 2021 with an auction result of EUR 273,000.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Philippe Hiquily erzielte im Juni letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Art Contemporain Day Auction wurde die Arbeit Ornuteros für EUR 44.100,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 20.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Philippe Hiquily auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit La Sevillane (Femme Lune) - 2006 im Juli 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 273.000,00.
