Upper estimate price exceeded by 26 %.
In June last year Sothebys in Paris held the auction Art Contemporain Day Auction, which included the work Marathonienne by Philippe Hiquily. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 15,120.00 26% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Philippe Hiquily achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La Sevillane (Femme Lune) - 2006 in July 2021 with an auction result of EUR 273,000.00.
