In June last year Sothebys in Paris held the auction Art Contemporain Day Auction, which included the work La Rocking Chair by Philippe Hiquily. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 27,720.00 54% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Philippe Hiquily have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work La Sevillane (Femme Lune) - 2006 in July 2021 with an auction result of EUR 273,000.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 54 % übertroffen
Im Juni letzten Jahres führte Sothebys in Paris die Auktion Art Contemporain Day Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit La Rocking Chair von Philippe Hiquily zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 27.720,00 und damit 54% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Philippe Hiquily auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit La Sevillane (Femme Lune) - 2006 im Juli 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 273.000,00.
