Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2006 a collector was able to acquire the work St Marie des Fleurs; and Palais vieux et Loge des Lanzi, Florence by Philippe Benoist for GBP 120.00 (€ 179.29). This price was achieved in the auction Travel and Natural History at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 200.00 – 300.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Philippe Benoist achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La cour de l'Octogone du Vatican à Rome in March 2015 with an auction result of EUR 2,750.00.

Im Oktober 2006 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit St Marie des Fleurs; and Palais vieux et Loge des Lanzi, Florence von Philippe Benoist für GBP 120,00 (€ 179,29) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Travel and Natural History bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 200,00 – 300,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Philippe Benoist erzielen.
