In May 2004 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction OLD MASTER PICTURES, which included the work A hunting still life of a partridge, a great tit, a jay and a robin on a forest floor by Philipp Ferdinand de Hamilton. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 3,107.00 55% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Philipp Ferdinand de Hamilton achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Studies of Fungi, Including Three Examples of Pinkish-White Bracket Fungi (Possibly Rigidoperus Ulmarius), And Edible Mushrooms Russula Xerampelina (?), Top Right, Lactarius Chryssorrheus, Lower Left, Russula Sanguinea Or Lepida, Lower Right in July 2006 with an auction result of GBP 40,800.00 (€ 59,

Im Mai 2004 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion OLD MASTER PICTURES durch, in der auch die Arbeit A hunting still life of a partridge, a great tit, a jay and a robin on a forest floor von Philipp Ferdinand de Hamilton zur Versteigerung kam. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Studies of Fungi, Including Three Examples of Pinkish-White Bracket Fungi (Possibly Rigidoperus Ulmarius), And Edible Mushrooms Russula Xerampelina (?), Top Right, Lactarius Chryssorrheus, Lower Left, Russula Sanguinea Or Lepida, Lower Right im Juli 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 40.800,00 (€ 59.726,42).
