The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 30,000.00 – 50,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 35,000.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Philip Sadée have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The arrival of the fleet: fisher-folk on the beach in October 2007 with an auction result of EUR 180,250.00.

Die Arbeit Waiting For The Catch Of The Day, Scheveningen von Philip Sadée wurde im November 2015 in der Auktion Old Masters & 19th CenturyArt - (including Dutch Impressionism) bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 35.000,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
