Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Pheasants in a winter landscape; and Ducks over a marsh by Philip Rickman was sold in the BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL PICTURES auction at Christies in London in February 2005. The price achieved of GBP 480.00 (€ 696.06) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 400.00 – 600.00. Admittedly, works by Philip Rickman have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Landscape studies: A covey of grouse above moorland, Eskhill; A capercaillie in flight among pines, Montreithment Moor; Blackgame in a landscape, between Forfar and Blhy; Pheasant in clearing in December 2017 with an auction result of GBP 2,500.00 (€ 2,813.38).

Die Arbeit Pheasants in a winter landscape; and Ducks over a marsh von Philip Rickman wurde im Februar 2005 in der Auktion BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL PICTURES bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 480,00 (€ 696,06) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 400,00 – 600,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Philip Rickman auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Landscape studies: A covey of grouse above moorland, Eskhill; A capercaillie in flight among pines, Montreithment Moor; Blackgame in a landscape, between Forfar and Blhy; Pheasant in clearing im Dezember 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 2.500,00 (€ 2.813,38).
