Auction result misses estimated price range
In April 2004 a collector was able to acquire the work Sunday Best by Phillip Richard Morris for USD 59,750.00 (€ 30,253.16). This price was achieved in the auction 19th Century European Art including Barbizon, Realist and at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 60,000.00 – 80,000.00 set by the auction house. Other works by Phillip Richard Morris have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in October 2005 by the work The Riven Shield She loved me for the dangers I had passed, And I loved her that she did pity them.
