Auction result misses estimated price range
In December 2017 a collector was able to acquire this work without title by Philip Rantzer for USD 1,125.00 (€ 935.78). This price was achieved in the auction Israeli & International Art at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Philip Rantzer have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Couple in December 2016 with an auction result of USD 4,750.00 (€ 4,501.52).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember 2017 konnte ein Sammler diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Philip Rantzer für USD 1.125,00 (€ 935,78) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Israeli & International Art bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Philip Rantzer auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Couple im Dezember 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 4.750,00 (€ 4.501,52).
