The »bidding war« ended at EUR 58,350.00 17% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Philip Sadée - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The arrival of the fleet: fisher-folk on the beach, which sold at auction in October 2007 for EUR 180,250.00.

Die Arbeit Dutch the Departure Of The Fishing Fleet von Philip Sadée wurde im Juni 2011 in der Auktion 19th Century European Paintings bei Sothebys in Amsterdam versteigert.
