Auction result misses estimated price range
In July 2019 a collector was able to acquire the work The Vine by Philip Hermogenes Calderon for GBP 21,250.00 (€ 23,331.09). This price was achieved in the auction Victorian, Pre-Raphaelite and British Impressionist Art at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 25,000.00 – 35,000.00 set by the auction house. Other works by Philip Hermogenes Calderon have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in December 2007 by the work A Woodland Nymph at GBP 34,100.00 (€ 46,336.12).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juli 2019 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit The Vine von Philip Hermogenes Calderon für GBP 21.250,00 (€ 23.331,09) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Victorian, Pre-Raphaelite and British Impressionist Art bei Sothebys in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 25.000,00 – 35.000,00. Andere Arbeiten von Philip Hermogenes Calderon wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im Dezember 2007 die Arbeit A Woodland Nymph mit GBP 34.100,00 (€ 46.336,12).
