Auction result well in line with expectations

The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 3,250.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Petrus Paulus Schiedges have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Sunset over the beach of Scheveningen, with the Badhuis and the Paviljoen von Wied in the foreground in October 2004 with an auction result of EUR 20,315.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Daily activities along a river in an autumn landscape von Petrus Paulus Schiedges kam im September 2011 bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 3.250,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Petrus Paulus Schiedges auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Sunset over the beach of Scheveningen, with the Badhuis and the Paviljoen von Wied in the foreground im Oktober 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 20.315,00.
