Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In December 2021 Bonhams in London held the auction Modern & Contemporary African Art Online, which included the work Untitled (from the 'Peri-Urban Encounters' series) by Peterson Kamwathi. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 1,200.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 1,275.00 (€ 1,520.81). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Peterson Kamwathi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled (ECK) (from Sitting Allowance series) in October last year with an auction result of GBP 32,760.00 (€ 38,165.04).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Dezember 2021 führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Modern & Contemporary African Art Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (from the 'Peri-Urban Encounters' series) von Peterson Kamwathi zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 1.200,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 1.275,00 (€ 1.520,81) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Peterson Kamwathi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled (ECK) (from Sitting Allowance series) im Oktober letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 32.760,00 (€ 38.165,04).
