In August 2021 Bonhams in Los Angeles held the auction Western Art, which included the work Del Mar Racetrack by Peter Williams. The »bidding war« ended at USD 4,845.00 (€ 4,105.93), 62% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Peter Williams; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Churchill Downs sold at auction in September 2020 with the realized price of USD 6,930.00 (€ 5,913.98).

Im August 2021 führte Bonhams in Los Angeles die Auktion Western Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Del Mar Racetrack von Peter Williams zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 4.845,00 (€ 4.105,93) und damit 62% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Peter Williams; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Churchill Downs im September 2020 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 6.930,00 (€ 5.913,98).
