In April 2000 Christies in London held the auction Old Master Pictures, which included the work The Education of the Virgin by Peter van Lint. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 23,500.00 (€ 40,231.05), 57% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Peter van Lint - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work L'Apollon du Belvedère, which sold at auction in May 2020 for EUR 112,500.00.

Im April 2000 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Master Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Education of the Virgin von Peter van Lint zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 23.500,00 (€ 40.231,05) und damit 57% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Peter van Lint mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit L'Apollon du Belvedère beobachtet, die im Mai 2020 für EUR 112.500,00 versteigert wurde.
