Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Change by Peter Struycken was sold in the The BAT Artventure Collection Formerly Known as the Peter Stuyvesant Collection, Part Two auction at Sothebys in Amsterdam in April 2011. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 2,250.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Peter Struycken achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Structuur Ii (Structure Ii) in May 2019 with an auction result of EUR 31,250.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Change von Peter Struycken wurde im April 2011 in der Auktion The BAT Artventure Collection Formerly Known as the Peter Stuyvesant Collection, Part Two bei Sothebys in Amsterdam versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 2.250,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Peter Struycken erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Structuur Ii (Structure Ii) im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 31.250,00.
