In April 2021 Bonhams in London held the auction Modern British and Irish Art, which included the work Allegorical Scene by Peter Howson. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,020.00 (€ 1,173.30), 46% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Peter Howson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Three Faces Of Eve, A Triptych in May 2008 with an auction result of GBP 300,500.00 (€ 382,249.13).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 46 % übertroffen
Im April 2021 führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Modern British and Irish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Allegorical Scene von Peter Howson zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 1.020,00 (€ 1.173,30) und damit 46% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Peter Howson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Three Faces Of Eve, A Triptych im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 300.500,00 (€ 382.249,13).
