In the IMPORTANT PORTRAIT MINIATURES AND OBJECTS OF VERTU auction, the work A Gentleman In Profile To The Right, In Blue Coat, White Waistcoat With Blue Trim, Knotted White Cravat, Powdered Hair sold for GBP 3,840.00 (€ 5,569.88) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Peter Ernst Rockstuhl - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Count Keller, in profile to left, in military uniform of black coat with gold lace and gold-bordered red collar, gold and black shoulder belt, which sold at auction in November 2007 for GBP 8,750.00 (€ 12,252.26).
