The »bidding war« ended at GBP 7,500.00 (€ 9,051.94), 50% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Peter Doig achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Swamped in November 2021 with an auction result of USD 39,862,500.00 (€ 35,317,179.06).

Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 7.500,00 (€ 9.051,94) und damit 50% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Peter Doig erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Swamped im November 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 39.862.500,00 (€ 35.317.179,06).
