Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work New illustrations of zoology, London, 1776, green morocco by Peter Brown was auctioned at Sothebys in London in May last year. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 4,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 4,032.00 (€ 4,743.26). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Peter Brown achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Twelve botanical studies of exotic plants: Limonium sinuatum statice with peacock butterfly, Nicotiana tabacum tobacco, Camellia japonica camellia, Hippeastrum vittatum striped amaryllis, Passiflora quadrangularis granadilla, Clematis florida 'Plena' doub in July 2020 with an auction result of GBP 52,500.00 (€ 58,559.7
