Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A yellow breasted Woodpecker on a log by Peter Brown was sold in the Old Master and 19th Century Drawings auction at Christies in New York in January 2004. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 3,346.00 (€ 2,687.12) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Peter Brown achieve.
