Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A yellow breasted Woodpecker on a log by Peter Brown was sold in the Old Master and 19th Century Drawings auction at Christies in New York in January 2004. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 3,346.00 (€ 2,687.12) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Peter Brown achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Twelve botanical studies of exotic plants: Limonium sinuatum statice with peacock butterfly, Nicotiana tabacum tobacco, Camellia japonica camellia, Hippeastrum vittatum striped amaryllis, Passiflora quadrangularis granadilla, Clematis florida 'Plena' doub in July 2020 with an auction result of GBP 52,500.00 (€ 58,559.7
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit A yellow breasted Woodpecker on a log von Peter Brown wurde im Januar 2004 in der Auktion Old Master and 19th Century Drawings bei Christies in New York versteigert.
