Auction result well in line with expectations
The work ‘Torytoise Care’ by Peter Brookes was auctioned at Sothebys in London in March 2018. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 813.00 (€ 925.65) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Peter Brookes have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work ‘Retire? Pah! Sir Alex Schmalex...’ in March 2018 with an auction result of GBP 8,125.00 (€ 9,250.76).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit ‘Torytoise Care’ von Peter Brookes kam im März 2018 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 813,00 (€ 925,65) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Peter Brookes auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ‘Retire? Pah!
