Auction result well in line with expectations
The work ‘Muscovy Lame Duck’ by Peter Brookes was sold in the The Political Cartoon Collection of Jeffrey Archer auction at Sothebys in London in March 2018. The price achieved of GBP 938.00 (€ 1,067.96) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. Admittedly, works by Peter Brookes have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work ‘Retire? Pah! Sir Alex Schmalex...’ in March 2018 with an auction result of GBP 8,125.00 (€ 9,250.76).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit ‘Muscovy Lame Duck’ von Peter Brookes wurde im März 2018 in der Auktion The Political Cartoon Collection of Jeffrey Archer bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 938,00 (€ 1.067,96) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Peter Brookes auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ‘Retire? Pah! Sir Alex Schmalex...’ im März 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 8.125,00 (€ 9.250,76).
