The work ‘Divorce Negotiations Between Lawyers Acting For The Prince And Princess Of Wales Become Increasingly Acrimonious’ by Peter Brookes was sold in the The Political Cartoon Collection of Jeffrey Archer auction at Sothebys in London in March 2018. The price achieved of GBP 1,063.00 (€ 1,210.28) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. Admittedly, works by Peter Brookes have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work ‘Retire? Pah! Sir Alex Schmalex...’ in March 2018 with an auction result of GBP 8,125.00 (€ 9,250.76).
