Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work At the docks by Peter Brannan was auctioned at Christies in London in January 2007, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 300.00 – 500.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 180.00 (€ 271.58). Other works by Peter Brannan have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in July 2004 by the work Village School at GBP 262.90 (€ 397.30).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit At the docks von Peter Brannan im Januar 2007 bei Christies in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 300,00 – 500,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 180,00 (€ 271,58) den Besitzer. Andere Arbeiten von Peter Brannan wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im Juli 2004 die Arbeit Village School mit GBP 262,90 (€ 397,30).
