Auction result well in line with expectations
In March last year Bonhams in New York held the auction Post-War, Contemporary and Latin American Art Online, which included the work What is the world comming to... by Peter Bradley. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 1,500.00 – 2,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 1,530.00 (€ 1,379.25) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Peter Bradley achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Milkwood in May last year with an auction result of USD 327,600.00 (€ 305,283.76).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in New York die Auktion Post-War, Contemporary and Latin American Art Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit What is the world comming to... von Peter Bradley zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 1.500,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 1.530,00 (€ 1.379,25) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Peter Bradley erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Milkwood im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 327.600,00 (€ 305.283,76).
