Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Peter Booth was sold in the AUSTRALIAN, INTERNATIONAL & CONTEMPORARY PAINTINGS auction at Christies in Melbourne in November 2005. It changed hands for a price of AUD 1,792.50 (€ 1,124.15) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of AUD 1,200.00 – 1,800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Peter Booth achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Australian Untitled, 2002 in November 2008 with an auction result of AUD 168,000.00 (€ 86,633.69).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Peter Booth wurde im November 2005 in der Auktion AUSTRALIAN, INTERNATIONAL & CONTEMPORARY PAINTINGS bei Christies in Melbourne versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von AUD 1.792,50 (€ 1.124,15) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von AUD 1.200,00 – 1.800,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Peter Booth erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Australian Untitled, 2002 im November 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 168.000,00 (€ 86.633,69).
