Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The lazy lookout by Peter Baumgartner was sold in the Old Masters & 19th Century Art auction at Christies in London in October 2011. It changed hands for a price of GBP 5,625.00 (€ 6,509.87) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by Peter Baumgartner have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Mother's little helpers in October 2000 with an auction result of USD 27,025.00 (€ 31,846.57).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The lazy lookout von Peter Baumgartner wurde im Oktober 2011 in der Auktion Old Masters & 19th Century Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 5.625,00 (€ 6.509,87) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Peter Baumgartner auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Mother's little helpers im Oktober 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 27.025,00 (€ 31.846,57).
