A top price for Pere Lembrí - as previously expected
In July 2020 Christies in London held the auction Classic Art Evening Sale: Antiquity to 20th Century, which included the work The Coronation of the Virgin by Pere Lembrí. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 50,000.00 – 80,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 56,250.00 (€ 62,742.59) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, The Coronation of the Virgin is the most expensive artwork by Pere Lembrí that we have observed at auctions so far.
