This artwork by Percy Robert Craft achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in July 2006. In the British and Continental Pictures auction, the work A street leading to Herod's Palace, Jerusalem sold for GBP 1,800.00 (€ 2,634.99) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Percy Robert Craft; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Awaiting Their Return sold at auction in November 2018 with the realized price of GBP 4,500.00 (€ 5,075.86).
