This artwork by Peng Ximing achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2013. In the Contemporary Literati: Early Ink Masters auction, the work The Grotto At Yixing sold for HKD 100,000.00 (€ 9,489.48) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 50,000.00. Admittedly, works by Peng Ximing have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Autumn Stream in April this year with an auction result of HKD 86,400.00 (€ 88,231.30).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Peng Ximing erzielte im Oktober 2013 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Literati: Early Ink Masters wurde die Arbeit The Grotto At Yixing für HKD 100.000,00 (€ 9.489,48) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 50.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Peng Ximing auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Autumn Stream im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 86.400,00 (€ 88.231,30).
