In May 2005 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction FINE MODERN AND CONTEMPORARY CHINESE PAINTINGS, which included the work Landscape by Peng Ximing. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 48,000.00 (€ 4,998.62), 37% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Peng Ximing achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Autumn Stream in April this year with an auction result of HKD 86,400.00 (€ 88,231.30).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 37 % übertroffen
Im Mai 2005 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion FINE MODERN AND CONTEMPORARY CHINESE PAINTINGS durch, in der auch die Arbeit Landscape von Peng Ximing zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 48.000,00 (€ 4.998,62) und damit 37% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Peng Ximing erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Autumn Stream im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 86.400,00 (€ 88.231,30).
