Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In April last year Christies in Amsterdam held the auction 20th/21st Century: Amsterdam, which included the work Hovaardij (from the series De Zeven Hoofdzonden) (Pride (from the series The Seven Deadly Sins)) by Peer Veneman. Here, the upper estimate of EUR 2,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 2,016.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Peer Veneman - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Hovaardij (From The Series De Zeven Hoofdzonden) (Pride (From The Series The Seven Deadly Sins)), which sold at auction in May 2019 for EUR 6,000.00.
