In the The Duarte Pinto Coelho Collection From the distinguished decorator's houses in Madrid and Trujillo, Spain auction, the work Portrait of Duarte Pinto Coelho, full-length, in his drawing room at 8 Don Pedro Street, Madrid sold for GBP 2,000.00 (€ 2,295.30) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 800.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Pedro Leitao - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Elsa Schiaparelli, which sold at auction in January 2014 for EUR 6,875.00.
