Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Expandido # II by Pedro de Oraá was auctioned at Phillips in New York in November 2017. The price achieved of USD 11,875.00 (€ 9,980.67) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by Pedro de Oraá have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Concreta 6 in November 2019 with an auction result of USD 46,250.00 (€ 41,972.96).

Die Arbeit Expandido # II von Pedro de Oraá kam im November 2017 bei Phillips in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 11.875,00 (€ 9.980,67) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Pedro de Oraá auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Concreta 6 im November 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 46.250,00 (€ 41.972,96).
