Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2011 Sothebys in London held the auction Russian Paintings, which included the work An Episode From The 1877-78 War: Russian Troops Liberate A Balkan Village From The Turks by Pavel Osipovich Kovalevsky. The price achieved of GBP 12,500.00 (€ 14,592.47) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pavel Osipovich Kovalevsky achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work General Iosif Gurko In The Balkans in November 2011 with an auction result of GBP 253,250.00 (€ 295,643.44).

Im November 2011 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Russian Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit An Episode From The 1877-78 War: Russian Troops Liberate A Balkan Village From The Turks von Pavel Osipovich Kovalevsky zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 12.500,00 (€ 14.592,47) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Pavel Osipovich Kovalevsky erzielen.
