Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Equestrian Portrait Of A Gentleman by Paulus van Hillegaert I was sold in the Two Great Scottish Collections: Property from the Forbeses of Pitsligo and the Marquesses of Lothian auction at Sothebys in London in March 2017. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 3,500.00 (€ 4,101.65) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Paulus van Hillegaert I achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Siege Of 'S-Hertogenbosch, Viewed From The Encampment At Vught in June last year with an auction result of USD 63,000.00 (€ 60,177.67).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Equestrian Portrait Of A Gentleman von Paulus van Hillegaert I wurde im März 2017 in der Auktion Two Great Scottish Collections: Property from the Forbeses of Pitsligo and the Marquesses of Lothian bei Sothebys in London versteigert.
