Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In March 2015 Christies in London held the auction Modern British and Irish Art, which included the work Étang by Paulo Gagarin. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,188.00 (€ 1,642.47), 19% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Paulo Gagarin - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Flamboyant, which sold at auction in March 2015 for GBP 4,000.00 (€ 5,530.21).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im März 2015 führte Christies in London die Auktion Modern British and Irish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Étang von Paulo Gagarin zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 1.188,00 (€ 1.642,47) und damit 19% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Paulo Gagarin mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Flamboyant beobachtet, die im März 2015 für GBP 4.000,00 (€ 5.530,21) versteigert wurde.
