Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Pauline Bewick could be acquired at Sothebys in London in October 2006 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Post War and Contemporary Irish Art auction, the work Untitled (Head With Feathers) changed hands for GBP 4,560.00 (€ 6,813.05) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Pauline Bewick - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Ireland Fund Ball, which sold at auction in October 2006 for GBP 12,000.00 (€ 17,929.07).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Pauline Bewick konnte im Oktober 2006 bei Sothebys in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Post War and Contemporary Irish Art wechselte die Arbeit Untitled (Head With Feathers) für GBP 4.560,00 (€ 6.813,05) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Pauline Bewick mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Ireland Fund Ball beobachtet, die im Oktober 2006 für GBP 12.000,00 (€ 17.929,07) versteigert wurde.
