Auction result well in line with expectations
In February 2018 Sothebys in New York held the auction Fine Old Master & 19th Century European Art, which included the work French nu Endormi by Paul Sieffert. It changed hands for a price of USD 7,500.00 (€ 6,142.00) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Admittedly, works by Paul Sieffert have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work French Reclining Nude in March 2008 with an auction result of GBP 41,300.00 (€ 51,883.04).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Februar 2018 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Fine Old Master & 19th Century European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit French nu Endormi von Paul Sieffert zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 7.500,00 (€ 6.142,00) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Paul Sieffert auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit French Reclining Nude im März 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 41.300,00 (€ 51.883,04).
