Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2020 Sothebys in Paris held the auction Tableaux Dessins Sculptures 1300-1900, which included the work A Nude Lady Sleeping by Paul Sieffert. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 2,250.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Paul Sieffert achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work French Reclining Nude in March 2008 with an auction result of GBP 41,300.00 (€ 51,883.04).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2020 führte Sothebys in Paris die Auktion Tableaux Dessins Sculptures 1300-1900 durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Nude Lady Sleeping von Paul Sieffert zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 2.250,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Paul Sieffert erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit French Reclining Nude im März 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 41.300,00 (€ 51.883,04).
