The work French jeune Fille Endormie by Paul Sieffert was sold in the Fine Old Master & 19th Century European Art auction at Sothebys in New York in February 2018. It achieved a price of USD 22,500.00 (€ 18,426.01), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 50%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Paul Sieffert - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work French Reclining Nude, which sold at auction in March 2008 for GBP 41,300.00 (€ 51,883.04).

Die Arbeit French jeune Fille Endormie von Paul Sieffert wurde im Februar 2018 in der Auktion Fine Old Master & 19th Century European Art bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 22.500,00 (€ 18.426,01) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 50%. Für andere Arbeiten von Paul Sieffert mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit French Reclining Nude beobachtet, die im März 2008 für GBP 41.300,00 (€ 51.883,04) versteigert wurde.
