Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work A Still Life With Carnations by Paul Permeke was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in June 2006, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 1,000.00 – 1,500.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 960.00. Other works by Paul Permeke have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in June 2006 by the work Winter Landscape With Farmhouses at EUR 1,440.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit A Still Life With Carnations von Paul Permeke im Juni 2006 bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 960,00 den Besitzer. Andere Arbeiten von Paul Permeke wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im Juni 2006 die Arbeit Winter Landscape With Farmhouses mit EUR 1.440,00.
